Introductory Public Tour

This 2-mile tour is designed to provide a general overview of the Pine Barrens ecosystem, an understanding of the Black Run Preserve’s unique place within its watershed and the Pinelands Region, and why it’s considered to be ecologically pristine.  In addition, participants will learn about the efforts of the Friends of the Black Run Preserve to meet its mission, goals, and objectives.This tour will be led by Founder & Chair, John Volpa.

 
CHOICE OF DATES: June 11, July 24, August 28
TIME: 10:00am to 12:00pm
WHERE TO MEET: Kettle Run Road East Trailhead Entrance. This is the main trailhead for Black Run Preserve.
WHAT TO WEAR: Be sure to dress for the weather. Some trails may be wet. Hiking, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended.

Meet at the welcome table at 9:30 am to check in.
