It's clean-up time at the Black Run Preserve! Join us for our next Clean Communities Clean-Up Day event and help us get our Pinelands treasure ready for fall and winter exploration and activities. Lend a hand as we perform light trail maintenance and trash pick-up around the Northern end of the preserve.

As a result of the forest fire that occurred during the summer, a significant amount of debris has been uncovered as the ground plants were burned off  – glass bottles, metal cans, a few tires, etc.  Our plan is to continue to collect as much of this new exposed debris as possible on the west side of Kettle Run Road and Black Run Trail (black).  This work in the previously burned sections can be done safely with proper clothing, shoes/boots, work gloves, and wagons or wheelbarrows.  We can use all your help to accomplish this clean-up effort, so thank you for coming prepared.


WHAT TO BRING: work gloves, garden trowels, insect repellent, and a wheelbarrow if available.

WHAT TO WEAR: Be sure to dress for the weather. Some trails may be wet. Hiking or waterproof boots are recommended.
