Restoration Project: Native Grass Planting - Saturday, April 20, 2024

4/20/2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET

Come celebrate Earth Day and help us protect our precious local ecosystem.

Join us for the next phase of FBRP's ongoing effort to eradicate non-native phragmites.
We'll be planting 500 native grass plugs, creating competition for the phrag.

FBRP Ambassadors will lead small groups from the Bortons' Road Trailhead to the restoration site, providing the background story of this on-going project and its many facets.  We also have some non-native bush clover to remove.
  • Saturday, April 20th 9:00am-12:00 rain or shine event
  • Meeting at Bortons Road Trailhead
  • BYOT "Bring your own trowel" if you like.  FBRP has 20 but we may need more depending on the size of the group.
  • Wear gloves, sturdy footwear, dress for the weather, water, sunscreen, insect repellent, hat.
  • Coffee and donuts will be provided at the trailhead.

Please download, print, and fill out the release form under the documents heading to the right and bring it with you on the day of the event. If you are coming as part of a group, you may all sign the same form.
