2nd Saturday Maple Syrup Hike - December 14, 2024

National Maple Syrup Day is December 17th, but we will be starting early. Join our ambassadors as we explore and discuss maple trees and our syrup tapping program. We will be hiking 3-3.5 miles in two hours with some stops. Our trails have hard and soft sand, slight elevations, roots, and stumps and some wet areas. Porta Potty is available at the beginning and end of hike.

DATE: Saturday, December 14, 2024
TIME: 10:00am to 12:00pm (Meet at the welcome table at 9:30 am to check in.
WHERE TO MEET: Kettle Run Road East Trailhead Entrance. This is the main trailhead for Black Run Preserve.
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress  with layers for the weather and bring a water bottle. Protect yourself from the sun, bugs, and cold.Hiking boots, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended.
DETAILS: This is a social/informational hike to familiarize participants with the trails of the Black Run Preserve and the Friends of the Black Run Preserve community.
 

IMPORTANT
