"Forest Bathing" Nature Hike - Sunday, June 8

It’s time to experience Forest Bathing again! (AKA “Shinrin Yoku” the Japanese term which simply means “taking in the forest atmosphere”) Come out and join our Trail Ambassadors for a short distance mindful walk in the woods (interspersed with some great info about Black Run Preserve).  Enjoy taking part in brief guided invitations that will re- awaken your senses to the rejuvenating benefits of nature. If you seek the silence of the woods  (along with a bit of quiet conversation) this one’s for YOU!     

DATE: Sunday June 8th
TIME: 10am till 12 noon  (Weather permitting, lightning and/or heavy rain cancel)
WHERE TO MEET: Kettle Run Road East Trailhead Entrance – This is the main trailhead for Black Run Preserve.

WHAT TO WEAR: Be sure to dress for the weather. Some trails will be wet.  Hiking, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended.

DETAILS: This slow paced guided nature 1.3 mile walk will be interspersed with mindful activities plus lessons about the unique ecology in this Pinelands environment. Gather with other outdoor, peace-loving enthusiasts and Friends of the Black Run Preserve. Trail is mostly a mix of light gravel and sand. A small elevation (uphill) portion near the beginning of the hike but the remainder of  the trails are pretty flat. Tree roots, trail imperfections, and some muddy areas exist.

WAIVER: When arriving at the event, all participants will be required to sign a FBRP Volunteer Led Activity Release Agreement.  FYI, a link to a copy of this document is displayed on the right of your screen.
