Hikes for Tykes: Owls – Wednesday, July 23, 2025

7/23/2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM ET

What do owls leave behind that tell us about its life style and our anatomy? Coughed up pellets. Undigested bones wrapped in fur, like a velociraptor fossil encased in stone; both tell a life story. We’ll pull one apart, together, then you’ll have a pellet to take home so you can dissect it. Assuming you’d like to learn about your skeleton. You’ll also receive a background about these beautiful and clever birds and how all raptors are an important part of a wide variety of ecosystems. Join retired teacher, BRP Founder, and Ambassador, Mr. V. for some summer fun.
