Essentials of Winter Hiking - Sunday, January 25, 2026

1/25/2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET

Winter hiking offers outdoor exercise without bugs, heat, noise, and crowds. Join our ambassador on a winter hike in the Black Run Preserve and learn how to avoid hypothermia and cold related injuries. We will discuss clothing, equipment, and important tips to improve your safety and enjoyment of winter in the woods.

Our trails have hard and soft sand, slight elevations, roots, and stumps and some wet areas. Porta Potty is available at the beginning and end of the hike.
