Please join us on a photo walk of the beautiful Black Run Preserve. You'll discover some wonderful shooting locations that you can visit throughout the seasons. And, you may just wind up with a great shot or reference photo for artwork to enter in our next BRP Juried Photography and Art Exhbition coming up this fall.

This special 1-2 mile scenic hike around the preserve will be lead by Rich Lewis, a respected Pinelands photographer, author, speaker, and workshop leader. There will be opportunities for landscape and macro photography, including a spectacular sunrise if Mother Nature cooperates.

Please arrive by 5:45 am to check in and sign a waiver.


WHERE TO MEET: Kettle Run Road East Trailhead Entrance – This is the main trailhead for Black Run Preserve. 
WHAT TO WEAR: Be sure to dress for the weather.  Some trails may be wet.  Hiking, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended. Long pants and bug spray is advised.
WHAT TO BRING:

• Any camera works, including mobile devices, but if you have one with interchangeable lenses, you have opportunities for both wide angle and telephoto photographs. There are macro opportunities, but consider that whatever lenses you bring you have to carry.
• A tripod and remote shutter release are highly recommended but not necessary
• A camera backpack or bag that is comfortable to carry on a hike.
