Join us for a refreshing 3 mile spring hike as Black Run Preserve bursts back to life! Enjoy a relaxed walk through pine forests and wetlands, where new leaves, blooming wildflowers, and active wildlife signal the season’s return. Discover the sights, sounds, and scents of the Pinelands in one of its most beautiful months.

Perfect for nature lovers, families, and anyone ready to welcome spring outdoors! Our trails have hard and soft sand, slight elevations, roots, and stumps and some wet areas. Porta Potty is available at the beginning and end of hike.

DATE: Sunday, May 31, 2026 (new date)
TIME: 10:00am to 12:00pm (Meet at the welcome table at 9:30 am to check in.)
WHERE TO MEET: Kettle Run Road East Trailhead Entrance. This is the main trailhead for Black Run Preserve.
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle. Protect yourself from the sun, bugs, and cold. Hiking boots, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended.
DETAILS: This is a social/informational hike to familiarize participants with the trails of the Black Run Preserve and the Friends of the Black Run Preserve community.

IMPORTANT
