Early Fall Guided Hike - Sunday, September 27, 2026

9/27/2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET

Join our Ambassadors at 10:00 am for a free, guided early fall hike at Black Run Preserve at our Borton’s Road/REI Trailhead.
We’ll look for signs of early autumn color and discuss how our native flora and fauna adapt to shorter days and cooler temperatures.
The hike will be less than three miles at a slow to moderate pace. We’ll stop at several locations along the way for water breaks, photography opportunities, and educational insights about the preserve.

Our trails include hard and soft sand, slight elevations, roots, stumps, and some wet areas. A porta-potty is available at the trailhead before and after the hike. Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water and a small snack if needed.
We look forward to exploring the early signs of fall with you!
