Suitable for children (ages 4 and up) and adults

Learn about the ecology of the pine barrens and why we need to preserve it in this special program of mini-classes taught by environmental educator and FBRP Founder and Chair, John Volpa.

Week One: Mammals and Raptors of the Pines

For health and safety purposes, each session is limited to 12 attendees with a maximum of two people per party. Two specimen/display tables will be set up for socially distanced viewing.

Masks and social distancing are required. Each party will be separated within the lesson site. John will be standing a minimum of 10 feet from attendees and unmasked while teaching only.

Note: Hand sanitizer will be available. Tables and specimens will be disinfected. Children must be supervised and be able to socially distance from other parties.

Meet at the Bortons Road Trailhead (you'll see an Event Here Today sign). Follow the Peaceful Partner's Trail (blue blazes) for approximately 100 yards to the lesson site.

There are four available time slots for each session. Each class is 30 minutes long. Preregistration is required. Open to FBRP Members only.
