Birds are an important part of the Black Run Preserve ecosystem and a delightful attraction for visitors. Come join the Black Run Ambassadors and see what species we can discover on our morning walk. This walk is appropriate for avid birders, photographers, or people who just enjoy nature and all it has to offer.

WHAT TO WEAR: Be sure to dress for the weather and protect yourself from the sun and biting insects. Some trails may be wet. Hiking, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended.

WHAT TO BRING: Some of our resident birds are well camouflaged. You may want to bring binoculars. Telephoto lenses for photography are welcome and recommended. Bring drinking water to stay hydrated. Remember to properly dispose of any trash.

DETAILS: This is a social/informational hike for fun and to gather with other outdoor enthusiasts and Friends of the Black Run Preserve. Space is limited: reservations are required.

Meet at the welcome table at 8:00 am to check in and sign your waiver.
